Tried to transform my current Ubuntu vps cloud to Alpine using rescue mode following http://wiki.alpinelinux.org/wiki/Installing_Alpine_Linux_in_a_chroot After reboot I am still in the systemd Ubuntu state with just Alpine binaries added. How can I switch to the Alpine rc init? Looks to me you can't fiddle with ovh vps cloud boot? If it's impossible can you please provide Alpine image please, thx
Doc says : The guide can also be used to install Alpine Linux from a non-Alpine Linux livecd such as Ubuntu or System rescue CD
You were not using a livecd.
I advise you to use the public cloud https://www.ovh.co.uk/public-cloud/instances/
You can upload and use any boot image using horizon web interface.
Thank you for your response, unfortunately ovh public cloud is more expensive then my current ovh cloud vps.
Which vps do you use?The cheapest S1-2, costs 4 euros per month.
