MX Plan: We are migrating you to a new, improved platform at no additional cost. The process will not involve any downtime

MX Plan is going to move forward technically, in accordance with our original plan, but its pricing conditions will remain entirely unchanged. So everything’s changing so that nothing will change? That’s the basic idea. And, truth be told, you’re going to come out of this a winner.

As you are aware, the technical platform on which the current MX Plan runs is getting old. This is no surprise – this shared email hosting solution was launched 17 years ago! But the technological choices made back then – while correct at the time – are now preventing us from moving the service forward in the way we would like (high availability, more responsive webmail, improved filter management, improved password regeneration procedures, etc.).

In order to continue to provide a service that meets our robust quality standards, we plan to migrate the MX Plan technical platform to one that runs on the most up-to-date technology and provides the same features. You do not have to take any action for this migration and there is no additional cost. You will not experience any downtime.
This more recent technology has also been tried and tested - we use it for all the other mail solutions we provide.

The migration will involve moving all existing MX Plan email accounts to a new infrastructure (which will eventually have redundant sites available at three separate European locations). This will ensure your services are highly available and more secure, and will offer you a better user experience, thanks to the latest generation of webmail used.

You do not have to take any action for this migration and there is no additional cost involved.

The migration process will begin within the next few month, and will take 6-9 months to complete. We will let you know the date on which we plan to migrate the email accounts attached to your NIC handle in advance. You will also be given all the information necessary to communicate news of this change to your end users (the biggest development will be the change in webmail if customers use a thin client to check their email).

What is the update on this?

I have an MXPLAN 005 which expires soon, and I cannot renew it. Will I be updated to another plan? Which?
